Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Overview

errcodes.dev is a static reference site. We do not require account creation, do not store personal information on our servers, and do not sell your data to anyone.

This policy explains what third-party services we use and the data they may collect when you visit the site.

1. Data we collect directly

We collect none. errcodes.dev has no login, no forms (except the contact email link), and no server-side data storage. No personal information passes through our infrastructure.

2. Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies — including the DoubleClick DART cookie — to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting google.com/settings/ads or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

3. Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated traffic data (pages viewed, browser type, country). This data does not identify you personally. You can opt out using the browser add-on linked above.

4. Cookies

errcodes.dev itself sets one cookie: ec_cookie_consent — a preference flag to remember that you have acknowledged this cookie notice. It contains no personal data and expires after 365 days.

Third-party cookies from Google AdSense and Google Analytics may also be set. See section 2 and 3 above.

5. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are in the European Economic Area or California, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data ourselves, any such request should be directed to Google for their AdSense / Analytics data.

For any privacy question or data deletion request, email hello@errcodes.dev with subject line Data Request. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Children

errcodes.dev is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
